Adam Idah’s Celtic future comes into focus this week as the Irishman’s struggles at the club continue.

Idah was a sensation in his initial loan spell as he stepped up for Celtic, scoring pressure penalties against Hibs and goals against Kilmarnock to win the league.

Let’s not forget Idah’s winner when Celtic beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup final as he tied up a double. The fact £8.5m was eventually paid for him was not the player’s fault.

But that seems to be used to beat him around the head with. However, as rumours swirl that Swansea City want Idah, their fans have made their feelings perfectly clear.

Swansea City boss Alan Sheehan ‘wants’ Celtic striker Adam Idah

According to The Scottish Sun, Swansea City boss Alan Sheehan wants to take Celtic striker Adam Idah to the English Championship.

Idah has been struggling at Celtic this season as the Irishman looks to open up his goalscoring account for the club.

A missed penalty in Celtic’s defeat to Kairat Almaty has left the Hoops support at the end of their tether with the big Irishman.

And as an exit to the English Championship could become a possibility, here the Swansea fans make their feelings perfectly clear about Idah wearing the white shirt of The Swans.

Swansea City fans don’t want Adam Idah from Celtic

Idah, an Irish international, clearly is a talented footballer but after watching him play for Celtic this season, the Swansea fans are not convinced.

However, that opinion wasn’t shared by @MarkWat26521362 who replied, “Not sure either, but there’s a player there.

“It’s just gone badly wrong for him at Celtic. A new start might work. He fits the profile of what we need, big and strong. It doesn’t excite me but neither does it cause me too much concern.”

@scfcdavies is dumbfounded by the link, “If we’re shipping Vipotnik for Adam Idah I’ve quite frankly lost all faith in this football club. Kone, Carlos, etc, I understand, but Idah?”

However, there was a balanced reply from one Celtic supporter who believes that there is a player in Idah:

Idah has proven at Celtic that he can provide the goods when required after his impressive performances in his six-month loan spell.

For whatever reason, it’s just not happening for him at Celtic this season. Can Idah turn this form around? Many Hoops supporters will be hoping so.
