Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has previously addressed speculation surrounding forward Daniel Cummings and his situation at Parkhead.
The 18-year-old has been in excellent form for the B Team this campaign, and Cummings took his tally to 22 goals in 20 matches for Celtic with the decisive strike against Club Brugge in the young Hoops’ 1-0 victory on UEFA Youth League duty last week.
Without a doubt, the elephant in the room is that he hasn’t signed a new contract at Parkhead and will be free to speak to other clubs in January about a potential cross-border compensation agreement.

Previously, Brendan Rodgers has noted youth players will get a chance at Celtic if they are good enough and have the wear with all to show patience, directly referencing Cummings’ excellent goalscoring form.
Now, latest reports have shed more light on his reality at the moment as uncertainty continues to be grouped in the same category as his future.
Celtic still yet to offer Daniel Cummings a new contract
According to a report from Mailsport, Celtic are yet to have put forward a new contract for Cummings as Premier League clubs continue to keep tabs on his situation.
Brentford, Fulham, Ipswich and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all in pursuit. Meanwhile, there is also Championship interest from Sunderland and Burnley.
As it stands, Celtic would inherit a training compensation fee of between £230,000 and £320,000 if he were to leave for down south rather than committing his future to Celtic.
The Bhoys are on the lookout for a young striker in January to compete with Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah and won’t want to lose the services of a talented young goalscorer.
Celtic won’t want another name added to talent drain
The lure of English clubs is always a tough one to turn down for youngsters when considering the money and facilities on offer to continue their development.
However, Celtic have the exact same level of state of the art set-up, so there really has to be an improvement in how they plan to retain prodigious talent.
Rocco Vata and Daniel Cummings departed Parkhead in the summer for Watford and Millwall respectively, while Ben Doak, Liam Morrison and Vincent Angelini are among the other names to opt for an alternative path to first-team football.
That isn’t to say the grass is greener on the other side; it often isn’t, but producing homegrown stars of the future from Lennoxtown isn’t a practice the club can afford to abandon via inaction.
