Celtic striker Daniel Cummings has plenty of speculation surrounding his future amid his unresolved contract situation at Parkhead.

During the week, the 18-year-old continued his excellent form as Celtic B saw off Club Brugge in the UEFA Youth League, taking his tally to 22 goals in 20 appearances under Stephen McManus.

Nevertheless, Daniel Cummings is out of contract at the end of the season, with no further developments coming to light regarding a potential extension.

Available for cross-border compensation, several English clubs are said to be monitoring the Celtic youngster as his excellent form begins to attract admirers from further afield.

Now, information has come to light concerning the identity of these clubs, with the Scotland Under-19 international having the potential to become a hot property on the market.

Celtic youngster Daniel Cummings watched by English clubs

According to journalist Pete O’Rourke on X, the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham and Ipswich Town all had scouts in attendance as Celtic saw off Club Brugge to secure a place in the UEFA Youth League knockout stages.

He stated: “A host of English clubs, including Wolves, Fulham, Ipswich, Sunderland and Burnley watched in-form Celtic striker Daniel Cummings scored his fifth goal in five @UEFAYouthLeague games with the winner against Club Brugge. #CelticFC#wwfc#itfc#FFC#safc#BurnleyFC.”

Sunderland and Burnley are also keeping tabs on the young forward, with both in pursuit of Premier League promotion after promising starts to the campaign.

Interest in Cummings’ services is growing rapidly, which could create a problem for Celtic as his deal runs into its final months.

Celtic won’t want to lose one of their most promising stars

If Celtic’s UEFA Youth League progression tells supporters one thing, talent is there to be found at Lennoxtown despite criticism that the Bhoys don’t produce enough assets who can go on to make an impact in the senior fold.

Cummings appears to fit the mould of someone that could grow into a first-team berth, but it is important to secure his future first before road mapping for the long-term.

Brendan Rodgers wants a third striker at Celtic to push Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah, so there may be room for the Scot to fulfil that prophecy if the Bhoys can tie him down.
