Celtic are looking to make as many as six signings this summer despite a lack of activity in the early portion of pre-season.
By this time last year the Bhoys had already made two additions to the squad in Odin Thiago Holm and Marco Tilio, though neither have proven themselves to be first-team regulars.
Brendan Rodgers has made it clear this time around that he won’t be bringing in newcomers to the squad unless they are of the right quality.
The goalkeeping position remains a top priority for the Bhoys with reports indicating they will make a renewed push to sign the £8m-rated Peter Vindahl Jensen.
What are the recruitment plans after that position is filled?

Celtic target five more key positions
The Daily Record reports that Rodgers wants a centre-back in the building to compete for a first-team spot alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers. The Bhoys have been sounding out Burnley regarding Dara O’Shea.
It’s said that the Celtic boss also wants a left-back, a forward and two central midfielders to bolster his options ahead of a long season that includes more Champions League group stage matches than ever before.
Adam Idah has been the big striking target since his exploits on loan last term whilst recent reports have also indicated the club will return to Benfica for Paulo Bernardo.
If the club do manage to deliver on these six first-team quality signings over the next two months then it wouldn’t be a bad window at all.
If Matt O’Riley ends up leaving, the club will also need a player to replace his creativity. Celtic will have to stay flexible on their list of targets and bring in more if needed.
Six is a strong influx, however, especially if Rodgers has intentionally set the bar high on their ability and immediate potential impact on the starting eleven.
