Celtic are searching for Nicolas Kuhn’s replacement.
Kuhn is set for a £17.2m switch to Como which will see the German star sign a four-year deal for the Serie A side managed by Cesc Fabregas.
Many see Benjamin Nygren as Kuhn’s successor after the Swede completed a bargain £2m to the Hoops last week from FC Nordsjælland.
But it appears Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers isn’t satisfied with that, and is now targeting Rapid Wien star Isak Jansson.

Celtic target Jansson pulled from Rapid Wien pre-season training
According to CeltsAreHere, Celtic have lodged a transfer bid in the region of €2-3m for Jansson, which is approximately between £1.7-2.6m.
However, Rapid Wien seemingly rate Jansson as highly as £10m and want to secure a record sale for the 23-year-old who cost just a few hundred thousand pounds last summer.
In the latest update regarding Jansson, Austrian outlet Kurier claim they have spoken to Jansson when he was going through his gym work on Monday.
The publication say he was left out of training because it is deemed ‘too risky’ amid the transfer speculation that surrounds him.
It should be noted that Celtic reportedly have competition for Jansson, specifically Paris FC, who earned promotion to Ligue 1 at the end of last season.
Jansson was asked by Kurier if he expects to be reintegrated into pre-season training on Tuesday, with the winger simply replying: “Let’s see.”
Brendan Rodgers eyes Jansson as Jota cover?
Jota went from the high of returning to Celtic and scoring on his second debut against Motherwell, to suffering a serious knee injury against Dundee United.
He’s had surgery and that went well, but Jota will be sidelined for the next five to eight months, meaning he will miss most of next season.
Nygren can be seen as Kuhn’s replacement, while it looks like Rodgers wants to bring in Jansson to cover for the crocked Jota.
Jansson scored nine goals in 33 appearances for Rapid Wien last season, two of those coming in the Europa League as the Austrians reached the knockout phase play-offs.
