Celtic are closing in on Tomas Cvancara as the player is pictured travelling to the UK to complete his medical.

Cvancara’s Celtic medical is due to be completed today as Martin O’Neill finally adds the striker he has been searching for to boost his title defence.

The big Czech striker has had a difficult time at Borussia Monchengladbach and is looking to revive his career at Celtic during his six-month loan spell.

So the deal is moving quickly, but when can Celtic supporters expect to see Cvancara at Parkhead wearing the green and white Hoops?

Celtic ‘announcement’ on Tomas Cvancara expected on Thursday

Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg has been the lead reporter on this deal and has shared when Celtic fans can expect the big announcement on Cvancara.

Posting a picture of the player on a plane with his agent, Plettenberg said on X, “Tomas Cvancara is now on his way to the UK to complete his medical for Celtic on Wednesday.

“Here with his agent David Nehoda.

“It is possible that the announcement and signing will only follow on Thursday. The loan deal has been agreed, as exclusively revealed this evening.

“New striker for The Hoops. Smart deal.”
