The walls are closing in on Wilfried Nancy at Celtic.

It wasn’t so long ago that Celtic supporters were enjoying the high of Martin O’Neill’s interim spell in charge, and now all of it has come crashing down.

Celtic have lost five games under Nancy following his arrival at the start of December, and the latest was deserved without any complaints.

On Tuesday night, Celtic were beaten 2-0 by Motherwell, and now the champions of Scotland have the small matter of the Glasgow derby against Rangers to deal with, and Chris Sutton had a simple message for the man in the Parkhead dugout.

Chris Sutton reacts to Celtic’s defeat to Motherwell and the upcoming Rangers match

Celtic are three points behind Premiership leaders Hearts, and the same number of points ahead of third-placed Rangers.

Whilst the Hoops were losing again, the Gers picked up all three points against St Mirren, and their next trip is to Celtic Park.

Writing on social media, Sutton stated that Celtic were ‘outplayed’, and now the upcoming match against Rangers is ‘quite big’ for Nancy.

‘After being outplayed by Motherwell tonight, Saturday’s game against Rangers feels quite big now for Wilfried Nancy…’ wrote Sutton.
