Celtic fans are counting down the days before Kieran Tierney is donning his boyhood colours again.
Until then, Tierney is trying to earn as many minutes as possible for Arsenal, including playing on a record-breaking day in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Celtic fans know what it feels like to be on the end of a very bad result in Europe, – Dortmund netted seven against Brendan Rodgers’ side during the league phase – but it’s a different kettle of fish when it happens during the knockout stages.
Whilst Celtic fought hard against Bayern Munich and were unlucky to bow out at the playoff stage, PSV Eindhoven were beaten 7-1 by Arsenal, with Tierney on the pitch and it’s the biggest margin an away side have won a knockout encounter.
This was the first leg of their round of 16 tie in Eindhoven, as Mikel Arteta’s side now have a cigar in hand and can take it pretty easy for the return leg in London.
Tierney didn’t start the match, but he was introduced into the action in the second half, and as per, his role and performance got his fanbase talking.

Tierney’s stats for Arsenal against PSV as Celtic return looms
Tierney isn’t earning many minutes under Arteta, but any time he is on the pitch, he is proving his worth and should be getting more game time.
With this Champions League tie wrapped up for Arsenal, perhaps that much-needed start will come in the second leg.
| Minutes | Key Passes | Accurate Through Balls | Total tackles | Clearances |
| 13 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Until then, he is being as effective as ever and perhaps proving to Arsenal that they are wrong to let him go.
But what is going to be Arsenal’s loss will be Celtic’s gain because with Jota back at Parkhead, the thought of him and Tierney linking up is something worth looking forward to.
