The doom and gloom of a Celtic defeat.
Unfortunately for Brendan Rodgers, there have been far too many occasions this season where Celtic have put in worrying performances.
On Sunday, not only did Celtic put in another abject display, but they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Dundee at Dens Park.
What’s even worse is that, post-match, there will be sections of Celtic fans who, through gritted teeth, will be agreeing with what Kris Boyd was saying, and especially about Rodgers.

Kris Boyd questions Brendan Rodgers after Celtic’s defeat to Dundee
There has been a lot of off-field noise at Celtic this term, and it continued against Dundee as Celtic fans protested against the board by throwing balls onto the pitch.
After the game, Boyd stated on Sky Sports that Rodgers is ‘getting away with everything’, as ‘everybody’ gets the ‘blame’, from players to board members, but not the manager.
Boyd wanted to highlight how there is enough quality in this Celtic side to be performing much better, and they simply aren’t.
“There again, it’s a case of, ‘you have to get to the next transfer window?’” said Boyd. “Why? They have spent money. You have spent money again.
“The balls coming onto the pitch (fan protests) is a total deflection. That team replicates the way Brendan Rodgers is right now. Look at them. He looks as if he has just switched off. The team is flat. The team looks as if there is no energy about them.
“Brendan Rodgers, the signs are already there. Started doing interviews with media companies down the road. ‘Oh, I am still here. I will be available next year because I am not going to be re-signing for Celtic.’
“He is getting away with everything, and everybody – Everybody blames the players. Everybody blames the board for not bringing in players, and you (Sutton) have said that yourself. When is Brendan Rodgers going to get criticism?”
Sutton: “I think he took a bit of responsibility there. He said, it’s his issue to get the team playing better. But it has been all season.
“He will point, and fairly so, to rotten recruitment. I think it is fair.”
It’s the harsh truth from Boyd…
Nobody wants to agree with Boyd, and he does usually spout a lot of nonsense about the champions of Scotland.
But say what you want about certain performances and defeats this term, the fact is, going back to last season, they have been questionable and well below par.
The style of play has been slow; the best players have been Ange Postecoglou’s signings. Too much was made about the lack of signings after the defeat to Kairat Almaty, rather than focusing on Rodgers.
Forget about the results here; Celtic’s performances have been concerning all year, and one point from two Europa League matches might become three next Thursday.
