Nicolas Kuhn is on fire at Celtic.
On Sunday, Celtic beat St Mirren 3-0 to move 13 points clear at the top of the Premiership table, with Kuhn netting a brace and Auston Trusty also finding the back of the net.
After the car crash at Ibrox, Brendan Rodgers ensured that his team bounced back in style and sealed not only the points but also the 16th clean sheet of the campaign.
For most parts, it has been an outstanding season for Celtic, not just on the domestic scene, but also in the Champions League.
It could be argued that Kuhn is Celtic’s best player right now and he has probably been the best-performing player in Scotland this term.
That’s something not many would have predicted last January when the German first joined the club from the Austrian club, Rapid Wien, and proceeded to struggle.
Nicolas Kuhn given standing ovation from Celtic fans during win over St Mirren
Matt O’Riley left a big hole when he left in the summer, but Kuhn has stepped up and filled that void head-on by becoming Celtic’s main attacking player.
The 25-year-old played 71 minutes against St Mirren and when he was walking off, he was given a standing ovation from the home fans.
Pat Bonner stated that when Kuhn first joined Celtic he ‘wouldn’t have expected’ to be given such a reception by the Parkhead faithful, as he told BBC Radio Scotland.
“Kuhn given an absolutely deserved standing ovation from Celtic Park,” said the BBC Radio Scotland commentator.
Bonner responded: “Yeah, absolutely. I am sure when he came to this club he wouldn’t have expected that ovation coming off. But rightly so he gets it. He has been really, really good again and is in the hearts of the Celtic fans, at this moment in time.”

Kuhn’s stats for Celtic against St Mirren
Stop him if you can. Kuhn is ripping it up like never before and you just wonder the heights he can hit for the rest of the season.
He already has 16 goals in all competitions, including that incredible brace in the Champions League, with his performance against St Mirren rated as one of his best of the campaign so far.
WhoScored handed Kuhn a rating of 9.32.
