Celtic are looking at a number of players this summer to help improve the squad.
Brendan Rodgers has added seven players to his squad with signing number eight on the way after Celtic ‘agreed’ to sign Jahmai Simpson-Pusey from Man City this week.
Celtic have also had bids for Jakob Breum rejected as it appears work is being done behind the scenes to add a ninth player to the Hoops squad.
However, Celtic will need to forget about Cathal O’Sullivan after Cork City released a statement about the young winger’s injury status.

Celtic target Cathal O’Sullivan suffers ACL injury at Cork City
O’Sullivan was linked to Celtic at the beginning of June this summer after impressing in the Irish Premier Division for Cork City.
Unfortunately, the young winger has suffered an ACL injury and looks set to be out for at least the remainder of the Irish season.
The statement on X read, “Cork City FC can confirm that Cathal O’Sullivan suffered an ACL injury in last Friday’s game against Sligo Rovers.
“The 18-year-old attacker has made 21 league appearances for City this season, and was also capped at U21 level for the first time.”
Cork City manager ‘absolutely gutted’ about Celtic target O’Sullivan’s injury
Cork City manager Gerard Nash was devastated at losing the highly-rated youngster and shares how he was ‘absolutely gutted’ at the news.
Nash said, “We are all absolutely gutted for Cathal to have suffered this injury.
“As everybody knows, he is a really talented player with a very promising future, so this is a big setback for him, but we will all rally around him and support him.
“I have no doubt that he will come back stronger from this, and we will all support him in doing so.”
Capped twice for the Republic of Ireland U21s, O’Sullivan is a player who is tipped to go on to have a bright future in the game.
This is the second time the youngster has experienced this type of injury and everyone at 67 Hail Hail wishes young Cathal all the very best and hope he has a speedy recovery.
