As the news that Brendan Rodgers has agreed to become the Celtic manager reverberated around Scotland last night, the Celtic fans are still looking for a concrete date of when the official announcement is likely to be made.
As 67 Hail Hail discussed last night, Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports both said that the Irishman had agreed to become the manager but neither could set a date on when the club will make the reported news official.
However, one place the Celtic fans could lean towards to for a clue is the London Stock Exchange. As a public limited company, the club needs to announce to the Stock Exchange any material personnel changes it makes to the business.

For example, when Ange Postecoglou left Celtic to join Tottenham Hotspur, the announcement was made at 10:25am on the Stock Exchange. A full minute before the club announced it on Twitter and on the official website.
So if Celtic fans are looking for up-to-the-minute news on the Rodgers announcement, that’s where I would be looking.

Don’t worry, I have already checked. At the time of writing this piece, there was nothing on the financial body’s website. But I will be auto-refreshing every ten seconds or so.
The appointment of Rodgers will come almost two weeks to the day since Postecoglou left Celtic and despite the long list of names linked to the club, Celtic has done a brilliant job in making sure this managerial hunt was not the long drawn-out process that we witnessed with Eddie Howe.
Undoubtedly the news is coming. I would imagine it would be, at the very least, within the next 48 hours. And once it has been announced it will be all systems go as Rodgers gets to work spending that transfer bounty he has reportedly been promised by the club.
