Daizen Maeda was the man of the moment for Celtic in the Scottish Cup over Livingston on Sunday.
Bagging a hattrick on his 100th appearance for the club, the Japanese winger stole the headlines and he deserved every single one of them.
However, there was another player that deserved some praise and he certainly got it on 67 Hail Hail after the match.
Nicolas Kuhn put in his best performance of the season on Sunday afternoon and Andy Halliday believes the shifty the German winger put in was better than Maeda’s.
The Hearts midfielder who is on loan at Motherwell was taking up his usual punditry duties this week when he was asked who his star of the weekend was out of all the domestic fixtures.
Halliday said [Superscoreboard], “I’ve been having an inner battle with myself over the last 30 minutes because I can’t believe I’m not going to say a guy that got a hattrick [Daizen Maeda].
“But I’m going to go with Nicholas Kuhn. He’s come under a lot of scrutiny, quite rightly so because I think he will hold his hands up himself with some of his performances.
“But I thought he was excellent. I think it’s maybe about too early to say he’s arrived as a Celtic player but I thought it was really, really infectious in terms of his energy throughout and he added to that with some quality as well.
“Fantastic ball for the first goal, but I thought his overall contribution in the game was very good.”
Kuhn put in his best performance of the season against David Martindale‘s side and the fans will be hoping that they will start to see signs of the player that made Celtic pay £3m for.

Brendan Rodgers shared the reasons why Kuhn was struggling in his early appearances for the club and it seems now that the health issue he has had with his teeth has now gone.
And you could see the difference on Sunday. The Kuhn we saw in action then was a far cry from the player who seemed to be miles off it against Kilmarnock and Hibs this season.
We will be keeping our fingers crossed that he picks up against St Johnstone where he left off against Livingston this week as Celtic have the opportunity to go top with Rangers not playing until Sunday.
