Ange Postecoglou is well known now for his meticulous planning whenever it comes to a transfer window at Celtic. Never have we known the club to put so much preparation into incomings and outgoings prior to the Australian joining the club.

And now, the Celtic manager has said that this summer will be the toughest for the club as he expects interest in some of Celtic’s top performers after what has been an incredible season for us.

Postecoglou said [The Scotsman], “This is probably the first window where we’ll really get tested on some of our key players by other clubs.

“Our planning is in place, so if that happens, it’s like the Jenga puzzle, before it all collapses we’ll hopefully already have a piece in place to ensure you can take one out and still build strong. I like that Jenga analogy!”

The Celtic players that may attract the most transfer interest this summer

Without stating the obvious, you would have to assume that Kyogo Furuhashi would be top of that list. The Celtic striker has been in lethal form for the club this season with 33 goals in all competitions.

His fellow countryman, Reo Hatate will also be an attractive option for clubs. The classy midfielder has already shown he can mix it with the best after his display’s in this season’s Champions League.

Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers have both been outstanding for the club. Jota’s assists and goals from the wing have been crucial to Celtic’s success this season as well as Carter-Vickers solidity at the back.

In truth though, you could stick a pin in Celtic’s first eleven and they would be an attractive option for virtually any top club.

What cannot be glossed over is that these players are happy at the club. They are playing regularly and winning medals. Just because interest is shown, doesn’t necessarily mean that players will leave.

But what we can take assurances from is that whatever happens, Ange Postecoglou will have a plan for any eventuality that may arise. We have seen the Celtic gaffer already replace Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic with relative ease.

Whilst replacing the likes of Kyogo and Jota will be no mean feat, the fans will trust Ange to identify players who can come in and make an impact similar, if not better, than what we currently have at the club.
