Ange Postecoglou has this week opened up on Tottenham’s difficult season so far.
The former Celtic manager has found it difficult in North London this term with his Spurs side currently languishing in 14th spot in the Premier League table.
It has been a far cry from the success Postecoglou enjoyed at Celtic Park with the Hoops’ trophy haul benefiting from the five competitions he won as boss.
His Spurs side this year has had injury issues and other things go against them but Postecoglou now faces the endgame with owner Daniel Levy seemingly ready to wield the axe this summer.

Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou admits Spurs season ‘tough’
Levy could sack Ange even if he makes the Europa League Final and the manager probably could have little complaints, on the domestic front, anyway.
And now the Australian has discussed the season and acknowledged it has been poor.
“It’s been a tough season. There’s no hiding from it,” he told Optus Sport. “It hasn’t gone anywhere near to the levels we wanted. We started off with clesr goals and ambitions around what we wanted to achieve.
“There’s an equal frustration that we’ve seen glimpses of what we want, but then enormous setbacks and our inconsistency – particularly in the league – we’ve performed well in the cups and in Europe, better than last year, but in the league we’ve been nowhere near it.
“There’s obvious reasons for that, but even within that context, it’s just a really disappointing season. I think we went into the season really hard and underestimated the challenges of Europe with the two extra games, having a cup run…all those things.”
Postecoglou’s Spurs record could cost boss his job

Postecoglou has worn the stress on his face at times this term with his dugout demeanour certainly a lot less relaxed than he was in Glasgow.
Ange has bristled at media questions – though he was prone to doing so in Scotland – and has shown a bit of frustration after being criticised by Spurs fans at times.
His record down south is not too good and he has making up to do between now and the end of the season should he wish to convince the ownership that he’s still the man to take the club forward.
It might, however, be too late for that now.
