With Celtic now in the process of returning from their US Tour this week, Brendan Rodgers will now look to prepare for the opening fixture of the Scottish Premiership season on Sunday.

Celtic will face Kilmarnock on Flag Day in a day that is set to become a brilliant occasion as the supporters prepare an exciting tribute to hail their heroes for their double-winning exploits last season.

The 4:30 pm kick-off will be shown live on Sky Sports as the satellite station broadcasts Celtic’s curtain raiser around the world.

This is just as well because it seems that not only will the Celtic supporters be watching it, but so will new Tottenham signing, Archie Gray.

Archie Gray still watches Celtic

When he first signed for Spurs, Gray admitted that he is a ‘massive’ Celtic fan. Now on the Premier League club’s tour of South Korea, the £40m summer signing has made yet another claim about Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.

Gray said [Football London], “Hopefully I came across really well but it’s a massive factor that the manager’s [Ange Postecoglou] here and I’ve been following him for a while, since he was at Celtic and one of my U21 managers went to the Australian league so even since then I’ve been following him so, yeah, he’s a massive factor.

“Obviously I’ve got a Leeds family and I support them too, but yeah my grandad and dad played for Scotland and supported Celtic.

“When Ange was there I enjoyed watching them and I still do now.”

Gray’s second admission about Celtic just goes to show the pull the club has outside of Glasgow and Scotland as the size of Celtic continues to attract players from other clubs.

It’s little wonder that the club continues to reap massive commercial rewards when players of the ilk of Gray continue to give Celtic media exposure like this.

Like Gray, Celtic supporters all around the world will be watching on eagerly on Sunday and hoping that Brendan Rodgers can get the title defence off to a winning start.
