Giorgos Giakoumakis appears to be on the move again almost three years after leaving Celtic.
The big Greek striker was popular amongst many Celtic supporters during his short 18-month stay at the club.
Giakoumakis has been tipped for another transfer move as Atletico Mineiro targeted the former Celtic striker in the January transfer window.
Officially a Cruz Azul player, Giakoumakis is currently on loan at Greg Taylor’s PAOK as the 31-year-old looks to recapture his goalscoring form at Celtic.

But it appears that the Mexican club are willing to sell him this January, but a move to Brazil has collapsed after Giakoumakis’ latest demands.

It appears that even at 31, Giakoumakis is still in demand as Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro made a £7.5m move to sign the former Celtic striker.
And here, journalist Adrián Esparza Oteo reveals why the powerful Greek rejected the move.
Oteo said on X, “GIAKOUMAKIS: Atlético Mineiro offered up to 7.5 million USD. Cruz Azul was willing to sell him.
“The deal did not go through because Giorgos was seeking a contract even higher than the one he had at Cruz Azul.
“Giakoumakis is currently remaining at PAOK on loan.”
Giakoumakis will go back to his homeland for now to rejoin former Celtic defender Greg Taylor at PAOK.

At Celtic, Giakoumakis was a cult hero despite being the second-choice striker behind Kyogo Furuhashi. The Greek scored 26 goals in 57 appearances and was the Hoops’ top-scorer in season 2021/22.
