Celtic take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League playoff tie tonight.

Brendan Rodgers heads into the game knowing that Celtic need to win by a clear two goals after the Bhoys lost to Bayern Munich in the first leg 2-1 at Celtic Park.

Much of the debate in the lead-up to the game has been about whether or not the Celtic manager will start with either Adam Idah or Daizen Maeda up front after the Japanese winger gave Vincent Kompany’s side a torrid time in the final ten minutes of last week’s game.

So will Rodgers start the game in the Allianz Arena as it ended at Celtic Park with Maeda up top? Here is 67 Hail Hail’s predicted XI as the Hoops look to Bayern Munich to the sword in Germany.

Adam Idah gets the nod as Celtic look to break down Bayern Munich

Adam Idah will be the man to lead Celtic’s line as Rodgers looks to win at Bayern. The Irishman’s power and height up front will give the Hoops a perfect out-ball to help the Bhoys’ counterattack.

So with that in mind, here is the complete predicted Celtic starting XI to face Bayern Munich:

Jeffrey Schlupp is the only change to the side that started the first leg at Parkhead. The Ghanaian was impressive in Celtic’s win over Dundee United at the weekend and keeps his place for tonight’s tie.

The rest of the team picks itself as Rodgers keeps his tried and tested front three and midfield trio of Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Arne Engels.

What Bayern boss Vincent Kompany said about facing ‘really dangerous’ Celtic

The Bayern boss knows the quality that Celtic possesses and speaking ahead of tonight’s big Champions League tie, the Belgian is wary of the threat from the Scottish champions.

Kompany said, “I think when you play against teams who are used to being very dominant in their leagues and who are used to scoring a lot of goals, what you naturally have you have a team who has a real sense of how to score goals.

“So it is always dangerous going forward and that’s what Celtic showed. On the day I thought we dealt with it pretty well but the second half of that still has to be played the parameters haven’t changed.

“It’s a team that’s really dangerous going forward, so are we. It’s a home game and we will look to make that play to our advantage as well.”
