Celtic thrashed Dundee in a 6-0 win that wowed the fans.

Celtic fans were delighted as they watched Jota and Co destroy a Dundee side who had no answers to Celtic’s devastating attacking display.

Brendan Rodgers was delighted as he watched his Hoops dismantle a Dundee side who were dogged for the first 20 minutes or so at Celtic Park.

The Celtic manager singled out Daizen Maeda’s double as the highlight of the game but was also glowing in his praise of Nicolas Kuhn and Jota’s Bhoys display too.

Next up for Celtic is Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup so when the conversation turned to Bayern Munich in a post-match exchange on the BBC, Rodgers was none too happy about it.

Brendan Rodgers’ reminder to BBC man before Celtic face Bayern Munich

In a post-match interview with a BBC reporter, Rodgers was asked about the upcoming Champions League game when he the Celtic boss reminded him that there’s another big gam coming for the Hoops before that.

The reporter said on BBC Radio Scotland [25m 59s], “The team’s in such a good place right now, and obviously a big week coming a week from now, obviously the Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

“I think everybody’s looking forward to that already and I guess with the way the team’s playing right now, you go into that with such great hope as well.”

Rodgers: “Well, we’ve got Raith before that.”

Sutherland: “Of course, yes, but people are already talking about Bayern, obviously.”

Rodgers: “Yeah, but I’m not. Our focus now is to recover and recover well, and then we go to Raith. We want to get into the next round of the Scottish Cup, and then we’ll come out of that, and then like you say, a special night here against Bayern Munich.”

The message Brendan Rodgers sent to the fans after BBC exchange

Brendan Rodgers already has two domestic trebles under his belt as the Celtic manager. Barring last season, a treble was all that the Hoops boss knew at the club.

With the League Cup tucked away nicely in the Parkhead trophy cabinet, Celtic’s next fixture is always the most important one.

And the message Rodgers sent to the fans was class. No matter what lies ahead, the next game and Celtic’s pursuit of silverware will always be his focus.

No distractions from keeping Celtic the most dominant club in Scotland.
