Celtic fans are all saying the same thing after watching Jota’s performance against Dundee

That was some entertainment from Celtic!

Brendan Rodgers’ side didn’t even need to put their foot on the accelerator, yet Celtic managed to put six goals past Dundee and Jota was doing what he does best.

After Jota’s comeback goal against Motherwell over the weekend, he was thrown straight into the starting XI for the rearranged Premiership fixture against Dundee.

In truth, this rearranged game, worked out well for the Portuguese star because, ahead of the two monster games against Bayern Munich, he is getting minutes under his belt and trying to be as ready as possible.

As you can understand, with Jota named in the starting XI, those heading to Parkhead had a spring in their step and they were right to be feeling so positive.

The returning Bhoys hero was involved in Daizen Maeda’s first goal in the second half, with the whole build-up to that goal, starting inside Celtic’s own half, a thing of beauty.

What was interesting here is that Jota started out on the left, his favoured side, with Adam Idah down the middle and Maeda switching flanks.

It worked a treat as the champions went 13 points clear, with a cigar in hand, ready to defend the Scottish Cup at the weekend and then prepare for the visit of Bayern.

WhoScored rated Jota’s performance on his comeback start at a pretty sensational 8.14. He hasn’t even hit top gear yet, so this is exciting to see.

The Celtic faithful on social media were drooling over Jota’s performance because this was him singing and dancing like his old days.

If he can get up to speed as quickly as possible, then it bodes well for Rodgers and those two games against Bayern, especially with Maeda suspended.

In the long run, it will also be interesting to see what type of forward line the Celtic boss pushes for because Idah scored again, as well as Maeda’s brace and Nicolas Kuhn’s strike from the bench.

All in all, the Celtic fans were saying the same thing about Jota and his stunning performance.

Celtic’s returning hero was getting the love, as @Frostbit2024 stated: ‘Jota assist baby he cooked’.

‘Some performance jota,’ wrote @finlayncfc.

‘Absolutely unreal goal that. Jota an absolutely mental signing tbf,’ stated @Gastro_Celtic.

Some still couldn’t believe that Jota is back, as @AdamLynch27 wrote: ‘Still surreal seeing Jota back at Celtic, what a player man’.

And just like that, Kyogo has been forgotten about, as @weblivz said: ‘Kyogo who…Idah, Jota and Maeda working really well together’.
