As Celtic ramp up their pre-season preparations this summer, the future of some players remain up in the air.
Nicolas Kuhn won’t be joining Como after they favoured other targets while Gustaf Lagerbielke is set to have a medical at Braga.
New signings Ross Doohan and Callum Osmand are bedding in well and could feature for the Hoops in their first friendly of the campaign against Queen’s Park.
Competition is at an all-time high for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ squad and Callum McGregor has highlighted one name that has stood out.

Callum McGregor singles out Johnny Kenny
Johnny Kenny has had to be patient during his time at Celtic. Signed from Sligo Rovers as a teenager, Kenny was loaned back to Shamrock Rovers before returning to Parkhead in January.
Kenny was given a handful of opportunities off the bench before scoring on his first start for the club against Aberdeen.
Bolton Wanderers had a bid knocked back for Kenny as Rodgers looks to assess his striking options but the Ireland international has already caught the eye of McGregor.
He told Balls.ie: “He’s been excellent and is someone who has grown over a period of time as well.
“Since he has come back he has matured into a very good young footballer and someone who works ever so hard every day, he’s had a few chances since he’s come back in so the signs are very, very good for him.
“We have a talent there that we want to push and to try and get the absolute maximum out of.”
Johnny Kenny is still Adam Idah’s closest competitor despite Osmand arrival
Confirmation of Osmand’s arrival sparked concerns that time may be up for Kenny at Celtic Park.
Adam Idah is expected to be the first choice number nine as it stands, with Kenny and Osmand behind him in the pecking order, as well as Benjamin Nygren if necessary.
Despite the new signing, the 22-year-old will still consider himself the second choice after looking sharp in the latter stages of the season.
He will have to dig deep to prove himself, but with the backing of McGregor already, he can certainly stake a claim.
