There might have been a bit of gloom at Celtic before the international break, but this is turning out to be a pretty strong season.
As the final run-in is around the corner, Celtic are pushing for the Treble and Brendan Rodgers is set to dominate even further on the domestic scene in Scotland.
Two men who have been key for the Celtic manager are centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers and his captain, Callum McGregor.
The man with the armband was missing just before the international break and it was evident to see because the team played with no control.
Even though another Premiership title is about to be won and more trophies added to the Celtic cabinet, you just know a man like McGregor, when the players return from duty, is going to be as harsh and tough on his players as ever.

Carter-Vickers gets to see it week in and week out, as he explained what McGregor is like behind the scenes at Lennoxtown.

Cameron Carter-Vickers lauds Callum McGregor’s actions behind the scenes at Celtic
The Celtic Park faithful have been blessed to have so many great men don the armband, so to go from Scott Brown straight to McGregor has been pretty enjoyable.
Carter-Vickers was speaking about Celtic’s dominance this season and who sets that mindset of continuing to push day in and day out.
The USMNT international gave his flowers to McGregor, including the ‘energy’ he brings to training all the time and how he is ‘easy’ to follow, as he told Celtic TV.
“It has definitely been a very consistent season for us so far,” said Carter-Vickers. “Only losing two games domestically is pretty good. We want to try and lose none, but two is still pretty good.
“It’s kind of down to our hard work day in and day out on the training pitch. That kind of mentality to keep going. We know that teams who play us, us for them it’s a cup final, so we have to treat it like that as well.
“It’s a mindset of the group that we all kind of have. We have all adopted. You look towards the manager for kind of implementing that mindset, as well as the captain, Callum.
“If you look at Callum, he sets the standards day in and day out. In training, every day, he has got energy and every matchday he is right up for it. When you have someone like that in the dressing room, it’s kind of easy to follow and get on board with it.”
McGregor is into the Celtic legendary books
At the age of 31, and with McGregor still going strong, he has already written his name into the legendary books of Celtic.
From Trebles under Ange Postecoglou to repeating that under Rodgers, it has been utter dominance since he came through the ranks, become a regular starter and then the skipper.
McGregor recently hit the 500 appearance mark for his boyhood club and you wonder how many more he will add to his name because you sense there is still a long way to go.
