The Wilfried Nancy era is underway at Celtic.
The Columbus Crew boss was finally announced as Hoops boss on Wednesday, and will take charge of his first match against Hearts on Sunday.
Nancy has stepped into the shoes of Martin O’Neill, who did a stellar job of looking after the team on an interim basis while talks took place with the Frenchman.
Nancy addressed Celtic fans for the first time on Thursday with an in-house interview with Celtic TV’s Gerry McCulloch.
On Friday, he will face the media for the first time – but with an unusual change to the usual unveiling for new managers.
Change to Wilfried Nancy’s first Celtic press conference
Manager unveiling press conferences are always an occasion, particularly when little is known about the new appointment.
So Nancy is bound to cover some interesting topics in his media address.

But he won’t be doing at Celtic Park, as is the tradition for new managers.
Celtic have confirmed that the presser will instead take place at Lennoxtown, in the press room where run-of-the-mill conferences take place.
It’s a low-key introduction for Nancy – the reasons for it aren’t yet known. It could be a personal request, or a club decision.
Even O’Neill, after only being appointed on an interim basis, was introduced to the media at Celtic Park, alongside Shaun Maloney.
The presser will take place at 1.30PM, and we expect to see it livestreamed on the club’s YouTube channel.
When the conferences take place at Lennoxtown, a player usually holds one too – if this is to be the case again, whoever the player is can expect a much larger audience than usual.

What has Wilfried Nancy already said to Celtic fans?
Nancy has paid tribute to O’Neill in his first interview, as well as discussing his football philosophy.
On why he felt that he was a perfect fit with Celtic, he said: “It’s an honour to be here. I think that the connection with my background, and the story of Celtic, fits perfectly with the person that I am, and who I want to become.
“It’s a club for all, and the way I’ve been educated by my parents, it’s about being open-minded. It’s about having empathy for people, and understand also where they come from.
“And for me, the fact that I’ve been travelling a lot also, and I travelled a lot when I was young – so it helped me to see people with new eyes.
“I think that we fit really really well, as a human being but also as a coach, because the way -with a lot of humility – the way I see football, it’s a connection with the way I live.
“So, it’s a way of life, and the brand of Celtic fits me really well, and this is this is something that I love.
“Well, you use the phrase ‘a way of life’ – and for a Celtic supporter, it is a way of life.”
