Celtic cult hero Ramon Vega is the next person to publicly slap down Jamie O’Hara’s ‘disrespect’

Jamie O’Hara’s embarrassing comments about Celtic on Sky Sport have really hurt the talkSPORT man’s reputation this week.

To be fair, his reputation of rage-bait punditry on his late night radio show with Jason Cundy where both continually trash Celtic and Scottish football is intact.

However, on a mainstream media outlet like Sky Sports, it simply does not work.

O’Hara tried to belittle A Celtic State of Mind’s Paul John Dykes and the former Spurs man quickly found out that he was interacting with someone who was knowledgeable, insightful and had a far better knowledge of football overall than he does.

And that fallout of that cringe-worthy interview has been excellent as former players, pundits and regular football supporters defended Celtic and Scotland this week.

And next up to have a go at the talkSPORT motormouth is Celtic cult hero, Ramon Vega.

Ramon Vega calls Jamie O’Hara’s take on Celtic and Scottish football ‘outrageous’

Celtic fans will remember, of course, that Vega was part of the Hoops squad who won the treble in Martin O’Neill’s first season at the club.

On loan from Spurs, Vega was superb that season as it delivered one of the most dramatic days in Celtic’s history.

So when he watched the video of Dykes defending Celtic and Scottish football (below), Vega was having none of O’Hara’s nonsense as he sent him a message on X.

Vega posted, “⁦Paul John Dykes⁩ well done mate for defending Scotland and ⁦Celtic⁩ is one of the biggest clubs in the world. ⁦@Mrjamieohara1⁩ Jamie, you are so wrong on this!

“The disrespect you give to Scottish football is outrageous.”

The message Celtic hero Scott Brown sent to O’Hara

The headlines O’Hara has created since he embarrassed himself has been great to read and, as we told yesterday, Celtic hero Scott Brown sent O’Hara a brilliant message.

Brown told Shebahne Aherne on X, “Tell Jamie to get back in his box, please.

“I did see the video and talk about Stockport, winning the league up here.

“Like I know where he’s coming from, both teams are probably thinking, Hearts are top of the league, he’s probably never watched any of the games up in Scotland in a long, long time

“And there’s been many players came in for the English Premier League and struggled, especially at Celtic and Rangers as well.

“So look, it’s a different environment, and until you’ve been in that environment, I don’t think you really understand what it’s about.

“He’s a fantastic player down the road, and take nothing away from him in that aspect, but he needs to maybe watch a little bit more Scottish football before he can talk about that.”
