Who do Celtic fans blame for Kasper Schmeichel injury?
There are a wide range of views across the fanbase as to who should shoulder the responsibility of A) allowing Schmeichel to play and B) continuing to pick him knowingly.
For some, it is the goalkeeper while others have pointed the finger at the coaching staff and managers.
This fan said: “He should have been more open about it!”
Another wrote: “Club doctor should not have let him play after he got injured playing for his country. He should have been sent to hospital then to get a scan.”

A third commented: “Should have been honest with himself and Celtic. Medical people should have been more aware of the situation. Hope it does not cost Celtic the league.”
“Both share the blame firstly the medical team who have a duty of care to the players and should have said he was not fit enough. Secondly the player should have known better than putting his career in jeopardy,” added this fan.
“80 per cent Kasper, 20 per cent Celtic,” commented a supporter.
This fan said: “I don’t know who, if anyone, is to blame for the injury but everyone knew about it, including the fans and the press. After the second goal he lost at Rugby Park he should have been dropped. The fact that he was allowed to play against Stuttgart and Hibs is a complete and utter shambles and sums up our season. Finally, finally, someone had the balls to make the correct and common sense decision. A decision that should have been taken out of Kasper’s hands. MON, the coaching and medical staff are all complicit in not acting quickly enough.”
