It has been a hectic 72 hours if you’re a Celtic supporter.

No sooner had the club qualified for the Champions League knockout playoff with a nerve-shredding win over Young Boys before news broke that Rennes were pushing to sign Kyogo.

That came as a body blow to the fanbase but it was soothed, somewhat, when it emerged that Jota was on his way back to Parkhead to act as one of Brendan Rodgers’ signings in the wide areas.

The whole country then had Storm Eowyn to contend with and the risk to life weather warning which also coincidentally delayed Jota‘s journey to Glasgow.

Earlier this evening we told you how tomorrow afternoon’s scheduled Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee was plunged into doubt when Celtic released a statement claiming they do not yet know if the action will go ahead.

It was a vague announcement with regards to the match but it did reveal that the stadium had taken damage with officials unable to assess the full extent as of yet.

That meant punters will have to wait until tomorrow to discover whether or not to travel to Glasgow’s east end with there still being uncertainty.

Some fans took to social media in response to the club’s statement with questions over possible postponement of the game.

Celtic fans had questions about postponing Dundee clash

One fan wrote: “Surely the right thing to do is postpone today, there’s enough pressures on vital public services today including the assessments that will be required tomorrow from these public services”.

Another shared the sentiment, adding: “Postpone it please.”

One commented: “Just cancel now as the stadium needs a comprehensive inspection, which may not be possible in the morning.”

A fourth said: “So it’s off then…”

Others were left wondering what to do about travel considering thousands would usually make their way to the city from Ireland.

Storm Eowyn has caused chaos in UK and Celtic Park has been damaged

One said: “Can you not just make a decision tonight? Think about supporters coming from Ireland & further a field who have travel plans booked ie ferries etc.”

Another added: “Should surely be able to announce this later tonight for the supporters travelling over from Ireland?”

A third commented: “Whilst the safety of everyone now is the most important thing, this doesn’t exactly help the supporters and CSCs, especially from Ireland, that will be leaving their homes at 4.30/5am to get flights/boats.

“If in doubt tonight, call it off and CSCs can rearrange accordingly.”

And some urged those in charge to make a quicker decision.

“Make the call tonight,” was one punter’s demand.
