Celtic’s interest in Miguel Chaiwa continues but it appears Hibs are holding firm on their valuation of the midfielder.
Celtic have been eyeing the Zambian international but as yet, there has been no contact with Hibs about a potential move.
It has been reported that Chaiwa is ‘open’ to a Celtic move but it appears the Easter Road club are in no mood to do business as their valuation of the midfielder becomes clearer.

Celtic face Hibs resistance over Miguel Chaiwa
Celtic interest in Miguel Chaiwa has been addressed by David Gray with the Hibs boss admitting back in April that he was ‘not surprised’ clubs are looking at his star midfielder.
However, Edinburgh News reports that the Easter Road club have told potential suitors that the Zambian is not for sale.
Chaiwa is contracted to Hibs until 2028, and it seems the SPFL side could be looking for as much as £7m for the 21-year-old.
He fits the type of developing player Celtic like, but Chaiwa would still be regarded as a prospect rather than a finished product despite his 16 caps for the Zambian national side.
Celtic face competition for Miguel Chaiwa
Celtic are not alone in their interest in Chaiwa with a number of clubs in England in pursuit of the youngster.
However, Hibs have reportedly knocked back two big-money offers which shows that they are willing to dig in and keep a hold of their rising star unless clubs can match or exceed their valuation of the player.
As it stands, Celtic’s interest in the player remains just that. With no formal offer from the Parkhead club, the speculation about Chaiwa and a move to Glasgow is likely to rumble on this summer.
