Celtic-linked Robbie Keane launched a sensational attack on the standard of officiating in Hungary after his Ferencvaros side lost their top-of-the-table clash.
Ferencvaros were beaten 1-0 by outsiders Gyor, who moved three points clear at the top of the table with three league games to play.
Keane has been calm when it has come to discussing links to the Hoops; however, he couldn’t keep his cool after a potentially devastating loss.

Robbie Keane says Gyor goal should not have been allowed
Gyor struck late on to inflict defeat on the Irishman and his team, but Keane believes that the goal should have been disallowed and slammed the incompetence of officiating.
He said: “We conceded a goal that I’m not even sure it was legal – in fact, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t.
“Our goalkeeper was blocked, the opponent was in front of him and the ball also hit his hand.

“When VAR takes so long to review a case, it’s obvious that there’s uncertainty. But it doesn’t surprise me to be honest, because it has happened all season.
“I am angry and disappointed because some of the decisions this year have been absolutely incredible.
“I’ve been in football for a long time, I’ve worked with top referees, but not here. I’ve never experienced anything like this.”
Ferencvaros’ season ends at a convenient time for Celtic
Celtic realistically need their new manager in before the World Cup starts so that they can plan their squad for next season.
A rebuild bigger than the one Ange Postecoglou took on awaits the Hoops as key players prepare to depart and a new era of heroes needs to be found.
Ferencvaros’ season ends on the weekend of 16 May, the same as when Celtic’s Scottish Premiership campaign comes to a close.
Dermot Desmond knows Keane well and the timing of him being available to fulfil his dream of managing at a ‘higher level’ falls at a perfect time.
