Nicolas Kuhn has proven at Celtic that patience is a virtue.
When the German first arrived at Celtic Park last January, he looked off-colour and lacked the quality needed to compete at the top for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
But it was just a case of the all-action winger needing time to settle in, before Kuhn has exploded this season and proven why many players coming into the Scottish league need that time.
It’s also a credit to Rodgers’ coaching because, time and time again, he is improving players and taking their game to the next level.
Just look at Celtic’s Player of the Year, Daizen Maeda. Everyone knew he was a top player under Anger Postecoglou, but he has now hit serious heights under the current Celtic manager.
You can add another player to that list in Hyunjun Yang.

Celtic told fans had ‘written off’ Hyunjun Yang
Celtic host Hibernian in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon and Rodgers’ starting XI will make interesting reading.
Against St Mirren last time out, Yang came off the bench and inspired his team to a win, netting a brace and proving to many why he is still worthy of donning the club’s colours.
Tam McManus claimed that Yang was ‘written off’, but like Kuhn previously, he has now ‘really come into his game’, as he told PLZ Soccer.
“He has got plenty of options and can rotate the team,” said McManus. “I think, domestically, Celtic have plenty in hand to win games.
“When Jota is 100%, he will put him back in and dip Yang out. I think it’s difficult coming in from a different country and settling into the demands of the club the size of Celtic. Having to play well every week and win every week.
“You have seen that with Kuhn and other players. I think we might see that with Yang. He has really come onto his game and he has got the confidence of the Celtic supporters now.
“I think he was written off at the start. Maybe not good enough for Celtic. Same as the big boy, Oh, who left, but Celtic fans are thinking ‘we might have a wee player here’.”
How has Yang rated with his Celtic performances since December
Over the festive period, Yang was handed a fair few starts because of injuries and illness to Celtic’s main players and that has seemingly worked wonders.
Those minutes have helped the 22-year-old reach his current levels where he is pushing for a starting XI shot.
Here is how WhoScored have rated Yang’s performances since December and, as you can see, there are many positive signs.
