Transfer chat seems to be the order of the day for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers adds Paulo Bernardo to his ranks this afternoon.

The Portuguese was unveiled at Celtic Park as Rodgers’ third signing of the summer behind Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel.

The move will undoubtedly please the patient Parkhead support but they will be eager for Rodgers to get a lot more deals done before the transfer window closes in September.

And one player who Peter Grant would love to see at Celtic is young Motherwell starlet, Lennon Miller.

Celtic told to go and get Liam Miller ‘now’

The former Celtic hero was speaking about potential moves the club could make and was in no doubt that Brendan Rodgers must bring in the Scotland U19 international to club immediately.

Grant said [The Go Radio Football Show], “The midfield area, I’m going to throw one here, I really like the young boy, Lennon Miller at Motherwell.

“And people are talking maybe a creative and maybe he’s only young but I would take him now.

“I don’t know what Celtic have, but if they’ve got anything underneath that’s better than him at this moment in time, I’ll be surprised. I really like Lennon Miller.

“I think he’s got everything. I think he’s got an eye for a goal. I think he’s more than capable of playing in the league at this moment in time.

“Europe is completely different. But with the likes of Bernardo coming in, it’s another young group of players.

“I just really like Lennon Miller. That’s somebody that I would take even from here.”

Lennon Miller for Celtic?

The young 17-year-old was a revelation for Motherwell last season as he made 32 appearances for the club scoring once and creating three.

One of those assists was against Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic last season as The Steelmen made his team work hard for a 3-1 win at Fir Park.

Lennon clearly has potential and it is obvious he wouldn’t get into the Celtic team right away but he would get a superb education from Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley.

This would stand him in good stead to become a good Celtic player if he ever did make the Parkhead switch.

Celtic were said to be ‘keeping tabs‘ on Miller back in November and with less than two years left on his current deal, it wouldn’t break the bank to get one of Scotland’s hottest properties to make the move to Paradise.
