Valakari’s side needed a relatively late winner from ex-Celtic kid Graham Carey to see off Championship outfit Livingston and it was a rocket from distance which won the day.

It is all set up to be an entertaining contest in the competition with manager Rodgers incredibly boasting a 100 percent success rate in the Scottish Cup.

The Irishman has lifted the trophy three times in his two stints at Celtic Park and he will be desperate to keep the winning momentum going.
