Footy Headlines have leaked the new design details of Celtic’s proposed 2026/27 third kit that is set to be released to pay tribute to the Lisbon Lions.

The 60-year anniversary of Celtic’s famous 1967 European Cup win is the greatest achievement in the club’s unbroken history.

And Footy Headlines have released a design of the Celtic kit, which is rumoured to be ‘inspired by the mosaic outside Estadio Nacional’

‘First info’ on Celtic kit leak as Hoops create fantastic Lisbon Lions tribute

The Lisbon Lions are already immortalised after their incredible European Cup achievement in 1967, but Celtic are looking to create a tribute based on the greatest moment in the club’s entire history.

The kit looks stunning and it is slightly reminiscent of the controversial 2023/24 ‘snake patterned’ home kit, but this top, by far, looks far better.

Footy Headlines describes the Adidas design as ‘an off-white base combined with gold and dark green trim, with logos potentially in either gold or dark green’.

As well as the new proposed strip including the mosaic graphics, the finer details also state ‘the accent colour of the logos could either be gold or dark green’.

Celtic’s partnership with Adidas and Not Another Penny

Celtic’s partnership with Adidas was renewed this season and, so far, the fans have been bombarded with incessant merchandise releases.

However, this new kit is likely to hit the sweet spot for a large portion of the Celtic support as the European Cup win in 1967 remains the most iconic and emotional moment in the club’s history.

However, the success of the shirt sale will depend on whether or not the Celtic fans’ Not Another Penny campaign continues.

The protest has cost Celtic north of £350,000 in lost matchday revenue and merchandise sales, but will the boycott be lifted in time for the release of this stunning kit?
