Celtic’s problems are there for all to see.
But what doesn’t help matters is the added issue of how Wilfried Nancy is dealing with certain situations during games.
Nancy losing three games is bad enough, and there are some already calling for his sacking ahead of the Premiership clash against Dundee United on Wednesday night.
But during Celtic’s League Cup final defeat to St Mirren on Sunday at Hampden, how Nancy dealt with Kieran Tierney coming off wasn’t a good look for anyone.

Does Wilfried Nancy have the belief of the Celtic players?
Charlie Mulgrew on Wilfried Nancy not wanting to substitute Kieran Tierney
At first, it looked like a straight sub, Tierney was going to come off, and Celtic were going to replace him.
It has been the norm this season.
Given Tierney’s injury issues in the past and lack of game time, Celtic are managing his minutes following his return this summer.
Either way, speaking on Go Radio, Charlie Mulgrew was baffled by what unfolded, and he made it clear, ‘it wasn’t great to see.’
“I wasn’t sure how that was played out,” said Mulgrew. “Kieran Tierney looked like he was coming off. But Nancy didn’t look like Kieran Tierney was meant to be coming off.
“It looked a bit confusing. It wasn’t great to see. I don’t know. You would need to ask the staff what happened there, but it didn’t look great.”

‘Lack of connection’ between the Celtic players and the new coaching staff
The other big issue for Nancy has been Martin O’Neill’s interim spell in charge, and how he managed to transform Celtic’s season around within six weeks.
Fast forward to the present, and Mulgrew thinks there is now a ‘lack of connection’ between the players and the coaching staff.
“It just felt so disconnected,” said Mulgrew. “Now, we know there is a bit of disconnect between the board, the fans and the players.
“Now, there is a lack of connection between the players and the manager, I can see. I could see that, between the staff and the players, which wasn’t there under Martin O’Neill.”
