Chris Sutton has never been one to bite his tongue when it comes to Celtic, and he is defending the club following the release of the post-split fixtures.
Before the SPFL confirmed what, when and where. Everyone was aware that Celtic were going to play three home matches, and Rangers three away.
But Celtic playing Hearts on the final day, together with three home fixtures in total for the title run-in, as well as Rangers’ three away fixtures, has resulted in Ally McCoist already having a moan by stating that the Hoops are ‘running it’ at the top of Scottish football.
Those comments were made on talkSPORT by McCoist, and when the Daily Record ran his comments, Sutton issued a brilliant, sarcastic and simple response.
‘How dare Celtic have 19 games at home and 19 away…’ wrote the former Celtic striker on social media.

Your first thought when you see the fixtures…
How many points will we pick up?

All this moaning is good news for Celtic…
For months and months, Celtic supporters would have feared that they weren’t going to win the Premiership title.
There have been so many signs to suggest that it was going to be the case. From Celtic’s recent defeat at Dundee United to that woeful Wilfried Nancy spell.
Yet, as the post-split fixtures are around the corner, the champions of Scotland are watching and listening to rivals already whinge and cry about the make-up of these matches.
Hearts and Rangers have already had their chance to open up a bigger lead at the top of the Premiership table.
Only a few weeks ago, Danny Rohl’s side were 2-0 up at home to Celtic, only to blow that lead. That’s their own fault.
The same with Hearts when ten-man Celtic picked up a point at Tynecastle.
Even with Celtic being so abject this season, they have still managed to fight for what could become valuable points in the backyard of their title rivals.
Now let’s see what happens next…
