Let the tears commence after Celtic’s title win.
Before a ball was kicked in the sunshine on Saturday at Parkhead, the majority of supporters, outside the likes of Celtic and Hibernian, wanted Hearts to become champions of Scotland.
But the might of Celtic stood in their way, which is now resulting in the tears flowing from all corners, including Simon Jordan, who has swiftly been put in his place by Chris Sutton.
Jordan stated on social media that it’s a ‘shame’ Celtic became champions again, and how ‘everyone can go back to not caring about Scottish football again.’
But former Celtic striker Sutton was having none of it and issued this blunt response to the former Crystal Palace owner.
“I doubt you’d say it to Martin O’Neill’s face,” said Sutton.
“What an embarrassing take, anyway. Scottish people care about Scottish football, and you can carry on not caring from London.”

O’Neill has worked alongside Jordan on talkSPORT, so they are pretty familiar with one another.
But it was back in October, when Brendan Rodgers left Celtic, that O’Neill, who had just been working on talkSPORT that morning, proceeded to replace him in the dugout for his first interim spell in charge.
That call to bring back O’Neill, albeit Wilfried Nancy’s spell was a nightmare, is the one that, in the end, changed the tide of this Hearts dream to become champions.
It’s a big reason why Celtic are champions of Scotland again, and it’s also a reason why the likes of Jordan, on social media, are having a good cry about it.
Jordan: “What a shame for Scottish football #hearts … nothing exciting or new about #celtic winning the league. Everyone can go back to not caring about Scottish football again. 💤💤💤💤’
Sutton’s response: “I doubt you’d say it to Martin O’Neill’s face… what an embarrassing take anyway. Scottish people care about Scottish football, and you can carry on not caring from London.”
Jordan then adds: ‘There is an expression that it is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid, than open it and remove all doubt!
A) I would and will most certainly say it to Martin O’Neill’s face. B) Hearts winning the SPL, to most people without bias, would see it as a shot in the arm for Scottish football and attention around it. Those with bias and accustomed to Punch and Judy knockabout debates. Take the obtuse outlook.”
