It hasn’t taken Ange Postecoglou long to make a return to the dugout, as he is set to become Nottingham Forest’s new manager.
One thing is for certain: you get nothing but pure entertainment with Postecoglou, as Celtic supporters can testify.
Postecoglou was a huge success at Celtic, but life at Tottenham Hotspur was different, even though he won the London club the Europa League, and now Nuno Espirito Santo’s sacking at Forest has opened the door for him to write another chapter in his trophy-laden career.
The Greek-born Australian is set to take charge of the Midlands side following the decision from Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis, who ruthlessly sacked Nuno on Monday, despite guiding them to the Europa League last season – clearly, things off the field are at play here.

Nottingham Forest to replace Nuno Espirito Santo with Celtic hero Ange Postecoglou
Chris Sutton has always publicly backed Postecoglou, even when he was getting verbally pelted left, right and centre at Spurs.
Therefore, in typical Sutton style, amid the news that Postecoglou is set to take the Forest job, he wished him ‘good luck’, before reminding everyone that he was a ‘boyhood’ Forest fan.
Of course, the former Hoops striker is gearing himself up to give Forest and Ange all the backing in the world, because Celtic fans will also be backing their former manager with everything they have got.
‘Great to see Ange Postecoglou back in the Premier League at my boyhood club Nottingham Forest,’ wrote Sutton on social media. ‘Good luck to him!’
Postecoglou’s managerial record
Sometimes, numbers don’t tell the whole story, and this is the case with Postecoglou, who went through it all during his time at Spurs.
From losing star man Harry Kane to Bayern Munich the moment he set foot into the door, finishing fifth in his first campaign, and then in the bottom half in his last season, after more than half of his squad was injured.
But, as Postecoglou told the world, ‘I always win in my second season’, and he did just that by helping Spurs lift silverware for the first time in 2008, and his managerial career has been littered with nothing but trophies, so enjoy Forest fans!
