Daizen Maeda, Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn are all missing each other since Celtic revamp

Daizen Maeda, Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn were the dream front three last season for Celtic but, since two of them left, things have taken a turn for the worse and they are clearly missing each other.

All three were hugely influential in Celtic’s domestic double winning season after becoming the first trio to individually score 20-plus goals each.

Idah left for Swansea City and Kuhn joined Como in the summer, leaving Maeda as the only one left; however, he also wants to leave. While all three are talented in their own rights, they are all struggling.

You can only keep one of Daizen Maeda or Reo Hatate at Celtic…

The Maeda, Idah and Kuhn fall-off since Celtic success

There is no greater evidence to prove that all three are nowhere near their usual standards than their goal return this year.

All three hit 20 or more for the Hoops but this season has failed to see them reach that number with all of their strikes combined.

Maeda leads the way at the top of the list with eight in all competitions, whereas Idah has three and Kuhn only has one goal.

Their form has been well-documented at their other clubs, with some reports suggesting that Como may listen to offers for Kuhn following the German’s underwhelming year in Italy.

Daizen Maeda, the grass may not be greener elsewhere

There is an acknowledgment from everyone affiliated to Celtic that this season will probably be Maeda’s last.

Despite praising the fans following his 200th appearance for the club, something has clearly been bugging the 28-year-old.

But, having seen how his two former teammates have struggled away from Celtic Park, the idea of moving to a new club may not be as good as the reality of it.
