The final few weeks of another successful season for Celtic are upon us.

Go back to when Ange Postecoglou left Celtic for Tottenham during the summer of 2023, many wondered and questioned where the club would head next.

Fast forward to the present, and it’s Brendan Rodgers leading the club forward again, including winning four trophies in his second spell.

When the Irishman was in the Celtic Park dugout during his first spell, the Trebles were put on the table with ease, and now it can happen again.

But Derek Ferguson already knows the outcome.

Derek Ferguson says Celtic’s Treble is a ‘done deal’

Celtic will travel to Pittodrie on Wednesday night for a rehearsal of the final, so that game will tell everyone quite a lot.

Of course, the champions of Scotland are favourites, but Aberdeen will provide a much tougher test than St Johnstone did in the semi-final.

But, before a ball can be kicked or anything can happen, ex-Rangers man Ferguson told Open Goal that it’s a ‘done deal’ and Celtic have already won the Treble.

“It has been controversial,” stated Paul Slane on John McGlynn winning Manager of the Year ahead of Rodgers. “There have been debates online. Brendan Rodgers could potentially win the Treble.”

Ferguson then interrupted: “What do you mean, ‘potentially’?” Slane then responded: “If they beat Aberdeen? Do you think it’s in the bag? I don’t know.”

Ferguson then added: “It’s a done deal. That’s a done deal – It’s easy for us to think, because of what Celtic have got at their disposal, in terms of the financial clout on the players, you still have to go and do it, and they have done it. They will win the Treble.”

Rodgers’ Scottish Cup record at Celtic

When the dust has settled, Rodgers will go down as one of Celtic’s greatest ever managers, but right now, he is still writing his name into the legendary books.

The Premiership might be the bread and butter, and that’s the trophy fans want the most, season in and season out.

But Rodgers’ Scottish Cup record is beyond incredible, because he is yet to lose a game over his two spells in charge of the club.
