Celtic are expected to be part of the late window scramble for players as Brendan Rodgers looks to finalise his business for the month.

In a quieter market than many anticipated, Nicolas Kuhn is the only confirmed arrival at Parkhead as we edge towards deadline day; however, this could change very swiftly.

According to reports, Norwich City striker Adam Idah is close to completing a loan move to the Scottish Premiership champions; however, there will be no option to buy inserted into any agreement.

Over the duration of the last few weeks, Rodgers has also prioritised signing a left-back to bolster his options amid Greg Taylor’s recent calf strain sustained in the Hoops’ 5-0 victory over Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup.

Temporary loan deals appear to be the route Celtic are going down to try and acquire extra bodies amid their ongoing hunt for a third successive Scottish top-flight title.

There hasn’t been an overwhelming amount of names mentioned that could end up pitching up in Glasgow by tomorrow evening, though Tiago Araujo won’t be one of them, as per Football Scotland journalist Mark Hendry.

Celtic owner Dermot Desmond’s plans for deadline day emerge

Dermot Desmond is a rarely seen presence at Parkhead; however, he will always have a major influence in any goings on in the day-to-day running of the club.

Nevertheless, The Daily Record cite that the Irish billionaire will also have his mind on other matters tomorrow, as he is set to participate in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf competition alongside the likes of Rory McIlroy and Jeff Rhodes.

The 73-year-old has always been a keen golfer and will tee off at 16:45 GMT, finishing not long before the 11.30 pm deadline in Scotland.

Presumably, there will be other members of the Bhoys’ hierarchy in pole position on Thursday as the Hoops look to bolster their squad before the cut-off point.

Celtic focus their attention on a left-back after Adam Idah

Idah’s arrival could be announced at any second, which will prompt Celtic to turn their attention to acquiring a left-back in the window’s final stages.

According to Football Scotland’s on X in a recent transfer Q & A, the Hoops will continue work on potential targets for the position into tomorrow.

Thursday will be a busy day for the Scottish champions and fans will hope they aren’t short-changed after a frustrating few weeks on the transfer front.

Celtic are in a battle for the title and one or two additions would help to lift the mood at Parkhead as they aim to stay on top.
