Celtic ended the winter transfer window with the solitary addition of Jeffrey Schlupp from Crystal Palace.
Schlupp was delighted to join Celtic as the club announced the deal with just minutes to go on transfer deadline day.
Whilst the Hoops supporters gave Schlupp a warm welcome to the club, many Celtic fans were delivering their verdict on a transfer window that promised so much but delivered very little as the Bhoys trimmed their squad and added just one.
Fans saw Celtic first-team players like Kyogo Furuhashi, Luis Palma, Odin Thiago Holm, Stephen Welsh and Alexandro Bernabei all make their Celtic exits.
Whilst adding just Schlupp to the ranks on deadline day, the Bhoys’ winter transfer business has caused a split as the Celtic fans deliver their verdict on the state of the current Hoops squad.

Celtic fans’ fuming transfer message to the Hoops board
The Celtic fans seem unusually split on the review of the transfer window. Whilst many were upset with the lack of January activity, there are many who believe that there was still good business done.
But let’s start with the fans who are clearly unhappy.
There were plenty of fans who thought along this line. One Celtic supporter chipped in, “My only thoughts are that Brendan said he wanted to come out the window stronger if he says that’s what’s happened now, he’s lying. Pathetic from the club.”
Another Hoops supporter added, “Underwhelming. The manager has been let down. Can’t look at it any other way.” as this Celtic fan knows who exactly is to blame, “I want nobody taking swipes at the recruitment team. Sufficient targets have been identified, and negotiations started.
“It’s the board who have failed to go the extra mile, almost always needed in big deals. Yet again, it’s all on them.”
And finally, this Celtic fan raged, “The board knew Kyogo wanted to go , no new striker brought in, maybe Maeda up front is the plan. Just hope this doesn’t come back to bite us, if it does someone’s head must roll, but this squad should be good enough.”
So there are clearly plenty of unhappy Hoops supporters but what about those on the other end of the spectrum.
Some Celtic fans are happy with the Bhoys’ January transfer business
Whilst there was fury amongst some Hoops supporters, there were many who were pleased with the business that the Celtic board conducted in the winter window.
One fan said, “We got rid of dead wood. Brought back the best player we’ve had in years. The league is won, why sign someone for the sake of just signing when we are strong enough in every department to see us through?”
Another Celtic fan added, “A full-time replacement for Kyogo would have been ideal, but not just buying someone for the sake of it. On the whole, we’re pretty strong.
“Jota is an upgrade on Maeda. Maeda will offer more than Kyogo under Rodgers’ style as a striker.
Schlupp is a better option for Valle & Palma.”
Celtic are not going to use Maeda as a striker. However, the positivity continues as one Hoops supporter said, “The club ran brilliantly. If we win the Treble with our current squad then I would be a happy hoop. Good luck to Schlupp, an experienced player.
“Not replacing Kyogo the big one for me, but hopefully, we get to see more of Kenny and Meada through the middle. HH Bhoys.”
Brendan Rodgers’ pre-match Celtic press conference ahead of the Dundee fixture tomorrow night is going to be a very interesting one.
