Brendan Rodgers has had to juggle a few injuries in Celtic’s last few fixtures.
The Celtic manager has had to juggle his squad as injuries to Hoops duo Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn meant Rodgers had to create a makeshift front three with Kyogo Furuhashi taking up the wide-right position.
However, Kuhn returned to the fore in a substitute appearance in Celtic’s draw with Dundee midweek which meant that the Hoops support were just waiting on an update on Daizen Maeda ahead of the Scottish Cup fixture with Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.
And it’s great news.

Brendan Rodgers drops brilliant Daizen Maeda injury update
Rodgers told Celtic TV, “We’ve only got James Forrest missing, so everyone back and available, which is great.”
And speaking about the potential return of Daizen Maeda, does the Celtic manager need to phase the Japanese winger in or can he let him off the leash?
“He’s fully ready to go,” continued Rodgers, “I think the for him, it probably felt more like a little circuit breaker for him as opposed to a long injury.
“It was just something, hasn’t been out so long. So, I just watched him and training this week, he’s been he’s so good.
“So he’s ready and available to start if we need that.”
Daizen Maeda’s Celtic numbers
Maeda has been absolutely crucial to Celtic this season and alongside Nicolas Kuhn, the winger has been on fire in terms of goal-scoring and goal creating.
Daizen Maeda’s Celtic goals
