Greg Taylor has left Celtic and joined PAOK on a free transfer, but not without a bang!
Let’s be honest, many knew that, before Taylor joined Celtic from Kilmarnock in 2019, he was a Rangers supporter as a kid.
At Killie, Taylor played alongside former Gers striker Kris Boyd, who is now crying on Sky Sports about Rangers’ demise and Celtic’s dominance.
When the news officially broke about Taylor’s move to PAOK on July 1, the left-back took to social media to thank the Celtic Park faithful for everything, and Boyd was waiting in the comments section.

Greg Taylor responds to Kris Boyd claiming Celtic hero will go ‘back’ to supporting Rangers
Taylor divided opinion at Celtic, mainly with the supporters, but it’s fair to say that those critics will love what he has had to say on social media.
The 27-year-old stated his trophy-winning Celtic stay is ‘a chapter of my life I will never forget’, before Boyd proceeded to remind him of his Rangers-supporting days.
The Sky pundit stated that Taylor will return to ‘supporting the famous now’, but he was quickly shut down in the best way possible by Celtic’s departing hero.
‘Back supporting the famous now,’ wrote Boyd, as he included blue heart emojis.
But Taylor responded in the best way possible and stated: ‘Not a chance 😂. World’s most successful team, for me 💚💚💚’
Taylor’s record at Celtic
Celtic became Scotland’s most successful club last season when Brendan Rodgers’ side beat Rangers on penalties at Hampden in the League Cup final.
Ironically enough, it was Taylor who, after making a mistake in the first half, equalised after the break to get the ball rolling, and the rest is history.
That would prove to be Taylor’s third League Cup trophy in Celtic colours, as he has gone on to win more in six years in Glasgow than Rangers have in the last 15 years.
- Premiership titles – 5
- Scottish Cup – 3
- League Cup – 3
