Columbus Crew aren’t one of the glamour MLS sides like Inter Miami, LA Galaxy or Los Angeles FC, nor do they have big pockets.
Therefore, for Nancy to win two trophies with the Crew, including the MLS Cup in 2023, is a big deal and a reason why many of their fans are gutted he is no longer their coach.
Several of the Crew fans wished Nancy good luck at Celtic, but you can tell many of them didn’t want him to go.
Yes, Nancy doesn’t have European experience, but it proves that there is something in the locker, and this left-field pick could be another success story.
Everyone remembers the Ange Postecoglou era; hopefully, Nancy can replicate Celtic’s Treble-winning hero, starting with the league leaders Hearts on Sunday.
