It looks like Wilfried Nancy will become the next Celtic manager.
Nancy has been widely tipped to become the next Celtic boss after reports suggested the Parkhead club were closing in on a deal to bring him to Glasgow.
The Frenchman’s possible Celtic move has upset Columbus Crew fans after they got upset at the latest update claiming Nancy was on his way to Paradise.
But with no deal in place yet, there appear to be a few things needing ironing out before Nancy is named the Celtic boss, including his compensation fee.

Celtic will owe Columbus Crew ‘up to £2m’ for Wilfried Nancy
Despite being in management for a very short period of time, Nancy still commands a very healthy seven-figure sum if Celtic appoint him from Columbus Crew.
The Daily Record reports that the Parkhead club will have to pay around £2m to secure Nancy’s services from the MLS side should a deal be struck.
Celtic can comfortably afford that fee. After all, the club is barely spending money on players for the first team.
But what the fee does show is that Columbus Crew will be very nicely compensated for a manager that they clearly hold in high regard. And that can only be good news for Celtic.
Celtic hero Chris Sutton’s warning for Wilfried Nancy critics
There are people who look at Nancy’s potential appointment with a degree of wariness, and that is natural and okay.
But Chris Sutton has a word of caution for them as the Celtic hero warned, “On the face of it, the Frenchman is a rookie and he would be coming in from a league outside Europe.
“But I’ve got two words for anyone ready to make quick assumptions – Ange Postecoglou. Now I know Nancy and Postecoglou and Nancy are very different managers, at different stages of their careers.
“Postecoglou had won titles in Australia and Japan as a club boss and led his nation at a World Cup as well. Nancy is a relative rookie in that regard, having been a main man in the dugout for less than five years.
“But that doesn’t mean he isn’t a very good head coach – or can’t be a success at Celtic. It just means that he needs to be given a chance. He also could do with time, but any new manager will know that’s not something readily available in these parts.”
