The noise around Wilfried Nancy has quietened down following those back-to-back wins for Celtic.

But the pressure levels are still at an all-time high, with Celtic set to play Motherwell and then Rangers this week.

Even though Celtic beat Livingston over the weekend, some supporters are still unsure as to what they are seeing because of how open the games are.

Some Celtic supporters expressed their uncertainty towards Nancy on Clyde 1, and Hugh Keevins joined them in that boat.

What an insane start to the game

Hugh Keevins tells Celtic and Wilfried Nancy to ‘get real’ despite win over Livingston

Keevins has forever been a critic of Celtic, and that won’t change, even when things have been going well for the club.

But now that dark clouds are hovering above Celtic, Keevins thinks the defensive issues and leaking goals are a problem.

The Clyde 1 pundit has told Celtic and Nancy to ‘get real’, especially when the latter suggested that the team were’ defensively strong’ against Livingston.

“There is every chance that Celtic could lose to Motherwell and Rangers because of the reasons we have outlined,” said Keevins.

“Defensively, all over the shop. For Wilfried Nancy to say there, ‘defensively we were strong.’ What game is he looking at? They lost two goals. Could have lost more to the team that is at the bottom of the league. This is the main problem going forward.

“I know bouncebackability might not translate into the French language. But Celtic aren’t about bouncebackability. I think some people have to get real.”

Keevins outlines what would make Nancy the ‘right choice’ at Celtic

There is no black and white here. Celtic must beat Motherwell and Rangers. If that happens, then the mood around Nancy will change.

The Frenchman still has his critics, and you can understand why. But there is no better way to shut people up than to win football matches.

Keevins stated that, if the champions of Scotland beat Motherwell and Rangers this week, it will prove that the Nancy appointment was the ‘right choice.’

“Under Wilfried Nancy, Celtic lose two goals per game,” added Keevins. “They have lost a cup final to a St Mirren side severely under-performing in the Premiership. St Mirren took three off them, and it could have been more.

“Everything is about Motherwell on Tuesday and Rangers on Saturday. If Celtic win both of those games, clean slate. We are back to Wilfried Nancy being the right choice.

“If Celtic lose those two games. We have pandemonium on our hands.”
