Comeback season continues at Celtic.
It started during the winter transfer window when the opportunity arose for Jota to wear the Celtic colours again, and he did it without hesitation.
Perhaps the favourite returnee of them all has been Kieran Tierney re-joining his boyhood club on a free transfer from Arsenal this summer.
But the comeback stories haven’t stopped there because Ross Doohan has also returned, after being Aberdeen’s second-choice goalkeeper last season.
All of those are on the field of play, as Celtic have made an interesting move behind the scenes.

Shaun Maloney’s return to Celtic
Shaun Maloney was sacked by Wigan last season, as the former winger has decided to step away from the dugout and become Celtic’s ‘new Professional Player Pathway Manager’.
This was brought up by former striker Gabby Agbonlahor, who played with Maloney at Aston Villa, on talkSPORT, as he described it as a ‘nice little job’.
Alan Brazil used one word to describe the appointment of the Celtic hero, before reacting to the noise coming out of Rangers.
“There is one transfer though, Shaun Maloney has gone back to Celtic,” said Agbonlahor. “Nice little job for him. Top player.”
Brazil added: “That’s interesting.”
Celtic-mad Alan Brazil says ‘old Rangers mob getting excited’
There have been a lot of changes at Rangers following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season that saw Celtic lift two more trophies.
But Brazil is still backing Celtic to retain their Scottish Premiership crown, and thinks ‘the old Rangers mob are getting excited’ again.
In truth, over Rodgers’ two spells as Celtic manager, he has seen and heard this noise over and over again, so it will be nothing new to him.
“Celtic have got a tough start,” stated Brazil. “I was laughing it off the other week, but the Celtic stat isn’t easy. The old Rangers mob are getting excited. They are getting excited.
“Yes, (Celtic will still win it). It might be a wee bit tighter. It might be tighter. But we will see. I think Brendan will do it again.”
Agbonlahor added: “I want to see what type of football Russell Martin is going to play. If he is going to play that risky football from the back, it will be interesting.”
