Attention has already turned to the new season for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.
The fact that Celtic were disappointed at missing out on the Treble last term just goes to show how well things have gone for Rodgers since he came back.
But, despite this forthcoming campaign, as of this moment, expected to be Rodgers’ final season in Glasgow, because his contract expires during the summer of 2026, he is still being backed in the transfer market.
The 2025 summer transfer window officially opened on June 16, and the champions of Scotland have been right in the thick of the action.

Kieran Tierney’s return to Celtic is ‘massive’
It’s the signing every Celtic fan was waiting for – Kieran Tierney’s return to his boyhood club, and you wonder what other deals could top this.
Charlie Mulgrew told PLZ Soccer that Tierney’s comeback is ‘massive’ for Celtic, but there is more to come.
The former centre-back was asked what Celtic needs to do in the transfer market and what Rodgers will be ‘open’ to doing.
“I think all areas,” responded Mulgrew. “I think bringing Kieran Tierney in is massive.
“But that’s important, even when you are strong, from a position of strength, you need to continue to improve, and I am sure that he will be open to all kinds of positions to keep everybody on their toes.”
What about Greg Taylor?
To put it simply, it looks like Greg Taylor will leave; it’s just a case of someone confirming it, whether that’s the club or the player himself.
Taylor’s final game for Celtic was the Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen last month, and you probably expected someone would have said something soon after.
But given that Taylor will officially become a free agent on July 1, perhaps that’s when fans will hear something concrete; otherwise, several clubs have been linked with his signature.
