Another Scottish Cup final is booked for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.

Despite the annoyance and frustration of Celtic losing to St Johnstone in the Premiership last time out, the team made sure that such problems didn’t appear at Hampden on Sunday.

Despite a quiet opening half an hour, Celtic blew away St Johnstone and booked their Scottish Cup final ticket against Aberdeen on May 24.

With the Premiership title almost confirmed, only Aberdeen stand in Celtic’s way of winning yet another Treble, and proving their dominance even further.

Over Rodgers’ two spells, nobody has been able to stop him, as he continues to write his name into the history books.

James McFadden has watched the Celtic manager’s success from the sidelines as a pundit, and he wanted to give the Northern Irishman his flowers.

James McFadden hails Brendan Rodgers after Celtic reach the Scottish Cup final

Last season, the Celtic Park faithful witnessed one of the great finals when Adam Idah netted a late winner to knock out Rangers.

Unfortunately, just like the League Cup final in December, the out-of-sorts Gers won’t be in the final again for Celtic to beat them.

But McFadden still gave Rodgers his flowers for always getting the job done amid his record in the Scottish Cup, as he told Sportscene.

“It’s alright, isn’t it?! I think he will be disappointed with that draw in there,” joked McFadden.

“Obviously, people look at it and say, ‘you have got the best players and you should win’, but you don’t win every game.

“So, when it comes to the big games and the pressure moments. He has always got his team ready. Celtic always manage to turn up. It’s quite remarkable that record, to be honest with you.”

To be dominant is one thing, but to be faultless is beyond incredible and is what is enhancing Rodgers’ legacy.

When the dust settles one day, it’s going to be interesting to see where fans regard Rodgers, in terms of the greatest ever Celtic managers.

Jock Stein is the greatest of them all, but Rodgers’ legacy is growing as the trophies continue to stack up.
