A lot has been made about how Wilfried Nancy has gone about things at Celtic.
To Nancy’s credit, he hasn’t backed down, despite those opening four defeats and has done things his way, and his way only.
It has resulted in Celtic fans being entertained, including against Livingston on Saturday, when four goals were scored inside the opening ten minutes.
One man who played a key part in Celtic making it back-to-back wins under Nancy was Benjamin Nygren, and James McFadden thinks he might have found the manager that suits his game.

James McFadden says Wilfried Nancy’s system could help Benjamin Nygren ‘flourish’
Nygren joined Celtic in the summer as a wide player, but Brendan Rodgers mainly played him in the middle of the park.
After Nygren’s brace against Livi, his role in this Celtic side was discussed on Sky Sports Football.
McFadden noted the Sweden international’s previous struggles, but how he can now ‘flourish’ in this manic Nancy system.
“He has struggled because he has played wide right and he has played as an eight,” said McFadden.
“Every time he is in that position, it seems as though he wants to come back and go on his left foot.
“This system may help him flourish because he can play almost freely. Where he can decide when to come into a wide area. Decide when he pops up on the left. Decide when he can go and gamble.
“The one thing is knowing where to be. Knowing how to go and affect the game. Score goals. He has an eye for goal, and certainly, there is real quality there he has shown.”
Wilfried Nancy says he wanted to sign Celtic midfielder Benjamin Nygren at Columbus Crew.

Nygren’s stats for Celtic this season
One thing Nygren has shown from the get-go at Celtic is the fact that he has an eye for goal.
At the very least, if he can maintain that and even take it to another level, it will make him very popular with the supporters.
It could even be argued that Nygren has been Celtic’s best summer signing.
- Nygren’s Premiership matches: 18
- Goals: 8
- Assists: 2
- Average Passes: 31.8
- Key Passes: 1.5
- Tackles: 1.1
- Fouled: 1.2
