Celtic have got that winning feeling back in their veins again.

Yes, there is still a lot to work on for Wilfried Nancy, not least the leaky defence.

But you can’t argue that there is quite a lot to shout about, including in the final third, because Celtic are creating chances for fun

Benjamin Nygren helped himself to a brace against Livingston, and it seems as though he is starting to find his feet under the new manager.

Craig Levein praises Benjamin Nygren’s performance for Celtic against Livingston

Celtic’s 2025 summer signings have taken some pelters because of the mess the board made of it all.

But it could be argued that Nygren has perhaps been the best of the lot because he has showcased a great goalscoring touch.

After a manic opening ten minutes, which saw an incredible four goals scored, Celtic finally took the lead in the 31st minute through a brilliant Nygren strike.

Craig Levein was watching on for Sky Sports Football (27/12/25), and he wanted to give the versatile Hoops star his flowers.

The former Scotland coach explained how Nygren made a ‘difficult’ finish look so simple and easy.

“He was really good against Livingston,” said Levein. “He has got himself into a nice little pocket there, and that’s a difficult finish (Nygren’s second goal).

“He hasn’t just leathered it. He has actually marked it towards that far corner. It’s a fantastic goal.”
